CLEVELAND (WKZO AM/FM) – Mid-American Conference officials are planning to meet this weekend to discuss the possibility of resuming fall football.
The decision was made to meet after the Big 10 reversed course and decided to play this fall, with significant health measures in place.
According to a report in the Toledo Blade newspaper, if the conference chooses to play in the fall, a 6 or 8 game season would begin with no fans on October 24, and the conference title game would still be played at Ford Field.
Some Western Michigan University players have indicated their hope that the season will take place in the fall, even with a reduced number of games.
