KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A demonstration was held in Kalamazoo Saturday to protest the actions of the Department of Public Safety in connection to the recent violence during a rally by the Proud Boys organization and counter protesters.
People gathered at the Michigan Avenue Courthouse to demand accountability from the department in what they described as a series of failures during the incident.
Organizers said that they would be holding protests two days a week to continue their demand for change.
The protests will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the courthouse.
