KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – An investigation is underway after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in Kalamazoo’s West Douglas Neighborhood.
It happened around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Foxridge Apartments in the 1400 block of Foxridge Drive off of Alamo Avenue.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers were called to the scene and saw light smoke coming from the windows of the apartment building. Firefighters located an active fire on the lower level of the building and searched for any occupants.
The blaze was contained to one apartment while smoke damage extended throughout the building.
No injures were reported and the cause is being investigated by the Fire Marshal’s office.
