BEDFORD CHARTER TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Sheridan Township man is dead following an off-road vehicle crash in Calhoun County.
It happened around 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the 24000 block of O Drive North near Waubascon Road, north of Battle Creek.
Deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area where they found a 49-year-old man with serious head injuries. Life-saving efforts were attempted but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say the man was not wearing a helmet while operating the off-road vehicle and alcohol and speed are probable factors.
No other details have been released at this time.
