More injuries as Lions return to training camp

ALLEN PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Lions continue training camp at their Allen Park facility.

Offensive tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai was injured at the end of practice yesterday but was able to leave the field on his own.

Tight end Hunter Bryant, defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand and running backs Bo Scarbrough and D’Andre Swift did not take part in drills.

Tackle Taylor Decker and defensive end Trey Flowers were limited in practice.

The Lions have signed free agent defensive tackle Kevin Wilkins. Wilkins entered the league with Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers in 2019. He spent last season on the practice squads for the Eagles and New York Giants.

Detroit waived defensive tackle Olive Sagapolu in a corresponding move.
