KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – No injuries were reported in an early morning house fire Saturday.
Public Safety officers were summoned to the 1300 block of Alamo Avenue at around 6:45 a.m. and found the front porch on fire and fire also coming out of some windows.
An initial report indicated that there were children inside the home, but upon a search no one was discovered inside.
Authorities contained the fire to the porch, but the house also suffered smoke damage as well.
The fire is being considered suspicious and remains under investigation by the Fire Marshall.
