THREE RIVERS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Authorities say a search warrant in St. Joseph County led an arrest as well as a gun and drug bust.
Detectives from the Southwest Enforcement Team had been conducting undercover work over the last few weeks.
On Thursday they executed a search warrant at a home in the 200 block of Middle Street near first Avenue in Three Rivers where they located several suspects, including a man who was not cooperating and would not show his hands when police ordered.
Authorities took the man into custody and later discovered that he had a handgun. During the search detectives seized meth, drug paraphernalia, scales and packaging material, a handgun, and ammunition.
A man from Three Rivers was arrested on an outstanding warrant and charges will be submitted for the four other suspects at the residence.

According to the press release, the Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) is comprised of sworn law enforcement personnel
from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office, Covert Township Police Department, Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office, Kalamazoo TWP Police Department, Hastings Police Department, South Haven Police Department and the Michigan State Police.
