LEE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man is being formally charged for the shooting death of another man in Allegan County.
On Tuesday, 62-year-old Robert William Eakins Jr. was arraigned on charges of homicide and felony firearm for the death of 50-year-old Daniel Lee Banaszak.
Banaszak was found dead in a home in the 500 block of 55th Street near 105th Avenue in Lee Township, south of Pullman the evening of August 6th.
Eakins was reportedly still at the residence when authorities arrived, so he was taken into custody and booked into the Allegan County Jail.
Details on what led up to the shooting or the relationship between the two men have not been released.
The incident remains under investigation by the Allegan County Sheriffs Office.
