KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Wednesday, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) announced that multiple suspects had been arrested in a felony assault case.
Just after 2 p.m., a KDPS officer was flagged down regarding a felonious assault involving a firearm, which occurred at several different locations throughout the city.
The victims indicated that the suspects were near South Burdick St and Reed Avenue. Officers located the suspects getting into a second vehicle and made contact with that vehicle.
Four subjects were detained and a handgun was recovered from the vehicle. The victims subsequently identified two of the occupants as having threatened them with a firearm.
As a result of this investigation, two adult males were arrested and lodged for offenses related to the felonious assault and possession of the located firearm.
Additionally, one juvenile male was apprehended and lodged at the juvenile home for felonious assault.
