KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — One person is injured after a shooting in Kalamazoo, the second reported on Sunday.
Public Safety officers responded to the 1000 block of North Westnedge Avenue near Elizabeth Street on the city’s Northside just after 8 p.m. Sunday for multiple reports of a shooting.
They later learned that a 46-year-old Kalamazoo resident arrived at a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound from the shooting incident.
No one else was reported injured and it’s still unclear what sparked the shooting.
This comes hours after a 30-year-old man died from multiple gunshot wounds on South Rose Street near Burr Oak Street in the Vine Neighborhood around 2:45 p.m. Sunday. It’s unclear if anyone is in custody at this time.
