KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety officers are looking into a shooting incident where a bullet lodged inside of a home.
First responders were dispatched to the 900 block of Albert Avenue near East Main Street on the city’s Eastside around 8: 15 p.m. Tuesday after an area resident reported that their window had been damaged by what they believed was gunfire.
Authorities spoke with the resident and later discovered that a bullet had traveled through the window and was lodged inside of the home.
More evidence was recovered and officers canvassed the area for additional witnesses, but no other information was released.
This shooting occurred about 30 minutes after shots were fired in the 500 block of Edwin Avenue near Charles Avenue, less than a half-mile away from the Albert Avenue scene.
It’s unclear if the two shootings are connected and no suspect information has been released for either incident.
