BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Battle Creek are reporting that a weekend street party ended with one injury and around 60 gunshots fired.
WWMT reported Monday that the party took place in the area of Roseneath Avenue and Howland Street Saturday. Police discovered casings from two or three different guns that were fired.
Police said that around 300 people were at the street party when they visited it before the shooting. They were called back around 1:30 a.m., at which time everyone had cleared out.
One woman had been injured from either a bullet that had grazed her or from shattered glass in her car window.
It is unclear whether there were any intentional targets in the shooting, which remains under investigation at this time.
