SANDUSKY, OH (WKZO AM/FM) — Cedar Point has announced that, beginning in August, the amusement park will be open only on weekends.
Park officials say that due to low attendance, the attraction will only open Friday-Sunday, and that the requirement for reservations will be lifted as well.
According to International Theme Park Services, people who go to amusement parks are still leery of the coronavirus and are staying away until the situation gets better.
Cedar Point is owned by Cedar Fair, which also owns Michigan’s Adventure near Muskegon. That park announced that its water park is now open, but that the amusement area will remain closed until at least 2021.
