PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Wednesday, the City of Portage will begin a reconstruction project from Shaver Road to Romence Road at 7 a.m.
The northbound and southbound outside lanes of South Westnedge Avenue from Shaver Road to Romence Road will be milled and resurfaced. Driveways to businesses will be intermittently closed for short periods of time during the process.
Traffic delays can be expected in this area and drivers are urged to seek an alternate route. It is anticipated that construction on this project will be completed in August 2020 (weather and materials permitting).
