SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — South Haven police continue to investigate the discovery of a body in Lake Michigan near North Beach.
Authorities were notified around 5:30 p.m. Saturday that a walker on the North Pier had seen a body in the water.
Initial recovery attempts were unsuccessful due to rough conditions on the water, but the Van Buren County Marine Patrol was able to make the recovery.
South Haven Police reported that no swimmers had been reported missing that day.
The victim’s name has not been released, but it is believed to be 20-year-old Jaedon Odunuga-Evans of Lansing who was presumed drowned on July 12th.
No other details have been released at this time.
