BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN) – The former supervisor of Pennfield Township is facing a stalking charge.
60-year-old Rob Behnke was arraigned in Calhoun County District Court on Thursday on the misdemeanor charge as well as a felony count of using a computer to commit a crime.
A personal recognizance bond of $1,000 was set and a preliminary exam was scheduled for August 10.
Behnke’s attorney told the Battle Creek Enquirer his client, who served as the Pennfield Township supervisor for two decades, is innocent.
The alleged victim in the case is a former girl friend who claims Behnke harassed her for three years.
