KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a suspect has been arrested in connection to the death of Ron French.
Previously, 71-year-old French was found dead not long after being reported missing in 2017. His body had been found in Wakeshma Township.
At that time, a man named Joshua Wessel was found with French’s 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. Wessel was charged with unlawfully driving away a vehicle, but no further links between the two had been announced.
On Monday, July 6, the Sheriff’s office confirmed that a suspect had been arrested in the French case.
It was later confirmed by WOOD TV 8 that Wessel is the suspect who has been arrested and charged with murder in French’s case.
