HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — In acknowledging Juneteenth, Consumers Energy shared a video with Michigan customers on social media, along with a message:
“We at Consumers Energy, value diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are passionate about building and nurturing an environment where everyone feels included. We don’t discriminate. We strongly believe Black Lives Matter.”
As part of Consumers’ commitment to fighting racism, the Consumers Energy Foundation this week made $100,000 in grants to Michigan organizations to support social justice and racial equality.
Company officials said it’s “only the start of our important work with our co-workers and communities to build a fairer and more equitable state for everyone.”
