JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County Sheriff deputies believe alcohol may have been a factor in a rollover crash that injured a driver.
It happened around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday on M-60, west of Oak Grove Road in Jefferson Township.
Authorities say a 46-year-old from Cassoplis crashed through about 40 feet of fence line, overturned the vehicle several times, and then struck a tree before coming to a stop against the downed tree.
The driver was taken to Spectrum Health Lakeland in Niles for treatment, but specifics on their injuries were not released.
Deputies say a seatbelt appeared to have been used and alcohol may have been a factor, but they are still investigating.
