PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — As part of its 2020 Summer Concert Series, the City of Portage is preparing to host “The Boy Band Night” at Ramona Park on Thursday, June 18.
Officials say the Boy Band Night is a live band paying tribute to groups such as N’Sync, Backstreet Boys, New Kids on the Block, Boys 2 Men, One Direction and more.
This event will be held “drive-in style” to help maintain social distancing. Guests can watch from their vehicle or set up chairs to enjoy the show. The parking area will open at 5 p.m. and close once it reaches capacity.
No concessions will be available for purchase, but patrons are allowed to bring a tailgate. No grills will be permitted, however.
Thanks to a sponsorship from the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, this event is free and open to the public. The event is also sponsored by Arbor Financial Credit Union.
Further events planned for this summer include The Hair Band Night on June 25, Motown Nation on July 30 and Al Hight & M6 West finishing the series on August 6.
