KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — As more and more businesses continue to reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic, Bell’s Brewery is the latest to announce its reopening plans.
Currently, the establishment plans to reopen its doors on Thursday, June 18.
Restrictions will be in place for the time being, which include only allowing guests 21 years of age to enter for the time being.
Face masks are required for entry and must be worn at all times, aside from when guests are seated.
Sick patrons must not enter the building, or those who have a fever of 100.4 or higher.
Officials say that the current available seating is outdoors in the garden and patio section. Guests will not be seated unless their entire group is present, which is limited to ten people or less. Each group will be permitted to use one table only, and gusts are asked to not combine or rearrange tables. This is done to help promote social distancing.
Customers will conduct their transactions at the main bar, which are limited to one per guest per visit. One transaction is equal to one order of food and up to two beers per guest.
Additionally, Crowlers and Growlers can be ordered at the time of the purchase, but they are not allowed to be consumed on the premises.
Guests will be asked to clear their own tables by using one of the available compost and landfill stations. Staff can help if needed.
Staff will also take the following guidelines for added safety –
- All employees must complete a pre-screening prior to their work shift
- Requirement of wearing a mask during work shift
- Maintaining proper social distance of 6ft between co-workers and guests
- Housekeeping team cleaning and sanitizing throughout the day to ensure cleanliness of all occupied spaces for staff and guests (bathrooms, break rooms, tables, and others).
