Battle Creek city officials announced Wednesday that stormy weather will impact Battle Creek Transit routes Wednesday.
Major storm weather caused power outages and downed trees all across Michigan Tuesday night, and more could occur Wednesday. The heavy storms are thought to be leftover remnants from the tropical storm Cristobal.
Just before 3 p.m. Wednesday, city officials in Battle Creek released the following statement:
“Due to downed trees and power lines blocking roads across the city, all Battle Creek Transit bus routes and Tele-Transit vans may experience delays this afternoon. We appreciate your patience as we determine how to safely move our vehicles.”
The exact routes with downed trees were not made immediately known. As previously stated, riders should continue to expect delays through the day.
