KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Residents in Kalamazoo’s Edison Neighborhood are concerned after reports of handmade bombs were found in neighbor’s yards.
On Thursday, the Edison Neighborhood Association posted a photo of the molotov cocktail on their Facebook page and said that several of them were discovered between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Neighbors encouraged other neighbors to hold a porch sit to monitor the area each night and call the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 269-488-8911 if they see anything suspicious. Some of the comments on the Facebook post show residents explaining what portion of the neighborhood they will watch.
It’s still unclear the credibility of the possible threat.
This incident comes just days after groups of vandals destroyed the downtown Kalamazoo area Monday night, several suspicious fires were discovered Tuesday night, and the city’s curfew was lifted.
