LEE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Lee Township man is in custody after slashing another man with a knife during a dispute over a vehicle.
Allegan County Sheriff deputies were called to a home in Lee Township around 10 p.m. Friday in regards to a subject who had been slashed with a knife.
The victim, a man in his 50’s, reported that he had been stabbed by 61-year-old Paris Sylvester Covington Jr. after confronting him about being inside of his vehicle.
The victim, whose name has not been released, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities say the two men were acquaintances. Covington was taken into custody and has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. No other details have been released at this time.
