BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department is reporting that a 70-year-old Battle Creek man has been arrested following a road rage incident.
Just after 10 a.m. Sunday, police say that the man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle near Morgan Road and Purdy Drive in Pennfield Charter Township.
The suspect fired a 9 mm handgun into the air before pointing it at a 42-year-old driver, who contacted police as a result.
Deputies with the department searched the area and located the suspect around three miles away, who was subsequently arrested.
The suspect has since been booked at the Calhoun County Jail on offenses of discharging a weapon while operating a motor vehicle, reckless discharge of a firearm and felonious assault.
Police add that the suspect is a valid Michigan CPL holder.
