KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Three Kalamazoo residents are facing weapons charges after a reckless driving incident led to a gun bust on Kalamazoo’s Northside.
Public Safety officers were patrolling the area of North Burdick Street and East Clay Street around 8 p.m. Wednesday after a number of complaints of reckless and exhibition driving over the past week.
While on scene, authorities spotted an SUV pull into a vacant lot and recklessly drive through the grass, spinning its tires and doing donuts.
When they stopped the vehicle officers located two pistols with extended magazines in the passenger compartment.
The occupants, two 21 year-olds and a 27 year-old, were arrested and booked into the Kalamazoo County Jail. No other details have been released at this time.
