LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a man was stabbed following an argument with his girlfriend in Lockport Township.
Just after 1 p.m. on May 15, police responded to the 57000 block of Oak Park Road for the report of a stabbing victim.
Upon arrival, police learned that the mail victim had been stabbed by his girlfriend after an argument about using her car to go to work. The victim had already returned the car and its keys at the request of the suspect, but she started yelling at him, causing him to take shelter inside the car.
The suspect kept yelling at the victim, eventually managing to get inside through the back seat, striking the victim three times in the back of the head. She then exited the back seat and came back in through the driver’s side door.
After trying to get him out of the car, she stabbed the victim under the left forearm with a pocket knife.
As a result, the man was transported to Three Rivers Emergency Room for treatment of his wound.
The suspect was then arrested and transported to the St Joseph County Sheriffs Department where she was lodged for felonious assault and domestic assault.
The victim was later treated and released for his wound.
