MACKINAC CITY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – In the wake of the cancellation of the annual Mackinac Bridgewalk last week, officials with the Shepler’s Mackinac Island ferry say that service to the island will begin May 29.
An announcement by the company says it will begin its 75th year of service in the Straits area May 29, which is the day after the current stay home order expires.
Shepler’s officials say that new policies regarding ticketing and other elements of the business will be released later this week.
They also stated that if passengers wish to wear masks while onboard, they are welcome to do so.
