KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety is continuing its investigation of a fatal house fire.
Officers were called to a residence in the 700 block of Essex Circle after 7 p.m. Saturday and found the structure on fire.
Those responding discovered that a 79-year-old woman was still inside and began an effort to rescue her.
She was found dead a short time later. Her name has not been released.
