PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The City of Portage is offering newly-scheduled brush & leaf drop-off days to all city residents at the Oakland Drive Compost Facility.
These additional drop-off dates are being offered in light of the cancellation of the April curbside collection of brush and leaves due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Citizens should note that this service is restricted to Portage homeowners. Those planning to drop off waste should be prepared to present proof of residency, such as a driver’s license. Brush and leaves from commercial establishments, churches and schools will not be accepted.
Citizens can drop off brush and loose or bagged leaves from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 and Saturday, May 30.
The compost facility is located at 10905 Oakland Drive, just south of West Osterhout Avenue.
