KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The City of Kalamazoo is planning to place a splash pad in a Northside park.
The effort is underway to approve plans that would locate the facility in LaCrone Park, at the corner of Cobb and W Paterson.
The Foundation for Excellence is providing $510,000 for the project, which will include numerous water jets, water sprayers, water cannons, and statues of animals that will shoot water, as well as a picnic area nearby and seating.
The plans can be seen at the city’s website. Kalamazoo’s site plan review committee will take a look at the plan later in May.
