ALLEN PARK, MI (WTVB) – The Detroit Lions continue to add to their roster as they agree to terms with seven undrafted rookie free agents.
Detroit signed tight end Hunter Bryant out of Washington, safety Jeremiah Dinson from Auburn and safety Jalen Elliot from Notre Dame.
The Lions have also agreed to deals with Norfolk State safety Bobby Price, fullback Luke Sellers out of South Dakota State, Auburn punter Arryn Siposs and long snapper Steven Wirtel from Iowa State.
Just days after holding its first successful virtual draft, the NFL says it will hold the 2021 event next April in Cleveland. League officials announced Tuesday that they are working with the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission on conducting the draft from April 29 to May 1 around the downtown area, First Energy Stadium, and the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.
Las Vegas was supposed to have hosted this year’s draft and will now prepare to host in 2022 instead. Cleveland has created the slogan Rock the Clock for the 2021 draft, as a nod to the time limit teams get to select a player and the city’s music heritage.
Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Bashaud Breeland was arrested on several charges in South Carolina, including possessing marijuana or hash, driving with an open container of alcohol, driving without a license and resisting arrest. Breeland was being held at the York County Jail, according to the facility’s online records.
Breeland started 15 of 16 regular-season games and all three postseason contests for Kansas City this past season. He had seven tackles and an interception in the Chiefs’ 31-20 victory over San Francisco in the Super Bowl in February.
