LANSING, MI (WJXQ) – A new poll finds Michiganders are in support of the actions taken so far by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to battle coronavirus.
The poll was done for the Detroit Regional Chamber and found 57-percent say Whitmer is handling the pandemic the right way, while 44-percent approve of how President Trump is doing. The numbers for the President are nearly identical to his job approval numbers in the state.
Along party lines, 80-percent of Democrats approve of Whitmer’s actions compared to just 22-percent of Republicans and 56-percent of independents.
