KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A boil water advisory is being put it place due to a water main leak in Kalamazoo’s Milwood Neighborhood.
Crews are working to repair the leak on Royce Avenue that resulted in a temporary loss of pressure and prompted the precautionary advisory.
The advisory affects homeowners on:
- Royce Avenue – From Ferndale Avenue to Portage Street, both sides of street.
- Portage Street – Only the southwest corner of Portage Street and Royce Avenue.
However, it does not include the southeast corner of Royce Avenue and Ferndale Avenue.
Residents in the affected areas should boil their water for two minutes prior to drinking or use bottled water for the time being.
Once tests are confirmed officials hope to lift the advisory by Tuesday, April 14.
