BERRIEN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a man involved in a vehicle crash Tuesday night is undergoing treatment for serious injuries.
Police say the incident occurred just after 6 p.m. Tuesday night. The driver was traveling eastbound on Carmody Road when his vehicle left the roadway. He then crashed into two trees and stopped in a ditch nearby.
The man was identified by police as 37-year-old William Belter, a resident of Bainbridge Township. After emergency responders arrived on scene, Belter was transported to the Watervliet Spectrum Hospital.
He was later taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo via air-lift. As last reported, Belter may be facing life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
