KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The City of Kalamazoo has announced that a boil water advisory on Santos Ave. has been lifted as of Sunday, March 8.
Previously, the water main break was reported on Friday, March 6. The water main break created a temporary pressure loss, leading to the advisory.
City officials reported Sunday that the main break had officially been lifted. No boiling of water is needed for any purpose, including consumption and cooking.
The boil water advisory affected the following areas:
- Santos Avenue – From Solon Street to Kendall Avenue, both sides of street, but it does NOT include the northeast corner of Santos Avenue and Solon Street.
- Cherry Hill Street – From Santos Avenue south to the dead end of Cherry Hill Street, both sides of street.
- Kendall Avenue – From Santos Avenue and Howard Street, both sides of street, but it does NOT include the northeast corner of Kendall Avenue and Howard Street.
