KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — UPDATE: The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of a man who was killed on March 8 in the shooting that occurred at Canterbury Apartments.
The victim has been identified as Kalamazoo citizen Elijah Fuquan Roberson.
Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputies were called to the 700 block of Dragonfly Road at the Canterbury House Apartments near Drake Road.
They found 30-year-old Roberson in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Bronson Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities say the suspect fled the scene and is not a danger to the public, but they are still encouraging residents to exercise caution.
