DOWAGIAC, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team is announcing a drug bust on Tuesday that lead to the arrest of one suspect.
Detective from the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team were assisting Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC) agents with the case.
Police say that the detectives located two people walking in the 500 block of S. Front St. in Dowagiac, MI. Both subjects were identified as individuals on parole through MDOC.
Agents, along with detectives, made contact with both individuals and a search was conducted.
During the search, detectives located methamphetamine on one of the parolees. The suspect is described as a 44-year old male and was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
The investigation is still ongoing at this time. It is unknown whether the second suspect is facing any charges.
