KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man is dead after a shooting in Oshtemo Township.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputies were called to the 700 block of Dragonfly Road at the Canterbury House Apartments near Drake Road around 1:30 a.m. Sunday after a report of shots fired.
There they located a 30-year-old man in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Bronson Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities say the suspect fled the scene and is not a danger to the public, but they are still encouraging residents to exercise caution.
Detectives are now launching an investigation and no further details are being released at this time.
