KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Kalamazoo are reporting that a teenage pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the afternoon of March 4.
Police say that the 15-year-old female was walking eastbound on W. North St at Stuart Ave in the crosswalk when she was struck by the vehicle as it was turning to travel south on Stuart Ave.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers rendered aid until LIFE EMS arrived and transported her to Bronson Hospital for minor injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was questioned by officers, along with several witnesses. The at-fault driver was then cited in the incident.
Officers add that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this case.
