PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A local salon in Portage has shut down permanently as of this week.
HQ Salon and Spa made the announcement through a Facebook post on the night of Monday, February 24.
No reason has been given at this time for the sudden closure. The post can be read in full below:
“It is with a heavy heart that as of today, February 24th, HQ Salon and Spa has to close its doors. Your service providers will be contacting you very soon, informing you on where they will be. Thank you for your loyalty over the years.
We will be in the process of contacting clients with gift card balances.”
Later, an additional post was made to address concerns over gift cards to the salon that were already purchased, which can also be read below:
“We would like to let all of our clients know that Design 1 Salon Spa in Portage will be working with all of our clients in honoring your HQ gift cards. Please call 616-301-1400 for more information.”
Reports indicate that employees of the salon were also not told a reason for the closure.
