HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Hudsonville Creamery and Ice Cream Company officials are asking Holland City Council for a 12-year, $9.8 million tax abatement.
Company officials are planning a 40,000-square-foot warehouse, expanding the facility at 345 48th St., a project set to start in August
The company application indicates the project willl retain the existing 85 employees and add two more by 2024. Company officials indicated in the tax-abatement application they plan to pay all employees $20 an hour, starting in 2021.
Holland City Council will review the application and set a public hearing date when council meets for a study session at 5:30 tonight, Feb. 19, 2020, followed by a business meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Holland City Hall, 270 S. River Ave., in the first-floor council chambers.
