KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers arrested a home invasion suspect on Saturday.
It happened around 10:40 p.m. when police responded to the 900 block of Bridge Street for a report of a home invasion. Contact was made with the uninjured victims who reported that subjects had broken into their home armed with a bat and stolen items.
Through on-scene interviews, officers were able to identify a suspect.
Officers located and arrested the 32 year-old suspect in the 2000 block of Inverness Lane which led to the recovery of some of the stolen items.
A search warrant in the 2000 block of Inverness Lane was executed and turned up more evidence to the case as well as suspected cocaine and methamphetamines.
