BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek Police say a missing elderly man last seen in Battle Creek has been found in Augusta.
Calhoun County Dispatch received a call just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday that John Cooper was possibly spotted in the 12000 block of M-96 near Augusta.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputies located Cooper in that area. Officials from Battle Creek and Kalamazoo County had Cooper evaluated by medical services and he was released to family members.

BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police in Battle Creek are requesting public assistance in locating a missing 82-year-old man.
Police say that John Cooper was last seen wearing khaki pants, a tan hat, plaid shirt and a camo coat. He is approximately 5′ 8″, weighing around 180 lbs.
He was last seen in the area of 424 Upton Ave in the City of Battle Creek at approximately 5:00 pm on February, 10th.
Police say Cooper has the onset of dementia and gets confused easily.
Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact police at 269-781-0911.
Cooper is the second Battle Creek man reported missing this week, with the first being a search for 47-year-old Jess Allen Steeves.
