PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Citizens in Portage reported a series of broken mailboxes during the morning of Monday, February 10th.
Citizens living in the area of Deerfield Street and Roanoke Street said that several mailboxes had been damaged early in the day, with at least one witness reporting that city salt trucks were responsible.
As a result, city workers were in the area through Monday to make all necessary repairs. Officials maintain that the repairs should be finished by Monday night.
An investigation is currently underway to find out whether the broken mailboxes were the result of the driver or the equipment.
