SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN (WKZO AM/FM) — Drivers are being warned to watch out for poor visibility and slick roads as much of the region becomes subject once again to a winter weather advisory.
The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Allegan, Barry, Calhoun, Kalamazoo, and Van Buren Counties until 9:00 A.M. Saturday, February 8th.
Wintry precipitation is expected to make driving potentially hazardous West of US-131 early Friday evening. The incoming winter weather system is then projected to move east continuing overnight.
The service is warning that cold temps along with snow could make for icy conditions on area roads. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and commute slowly while traveling.
