BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) –The Battle Creek Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of a blaze outside a vacant structure over the weekend.
Crews were called to the corner of West Michigan Avenue and North Wood Street in Battle Creek just after 5 p.m. Saturday where they found a fire on the outside of the rear of the building and it was starting to make its way inside.
Firefighters quickly contained the fire and searched for any victims but the building was vacant. Overhaul and ventilation was utilized and nobody was injured during the fire.
The cause is still unknown.
