KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo police arrested a man on Friday trying to set fire to his own home.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday when Department of Public Safety Officers responded to the 4100 block of Nancy Lane at Americana Estates for a report of a subject threatening to set fire to his mobile home.
Once on scene, officers were met by an uncooperative male inside the home and saw flames in the rear of the residence. The 25-year-old subject was arrested and the fire was extinguished.
The Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the incident.
