WARREN, MI (WTVB) – President Trump will be in suburban Detroit this week. He will be speaking at the Dana, Incorporated manufacturing facility in Warren Thursday, a day after it’s expected he will sign the new United States-Mexico-Canada trade agreement.
The last President to visit the factory was Franklin Roosevelt in 1942 when the facility was known as the Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant.
Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, who’s a Democrat, tells Crain’s Detroit Business the move by the White House to send Trump to the suburban factory right after signing the USMCA is a “very calculated move” and “a very wise decision.”
