ALLEGAN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Three men were trapped after the roof of a trailer collapsed on them in Van Buren County.
The incident happened on Wednesday, January 22nd on 611 Delano St. in Allegan Township. Allegan County Sheriff’s deputies responded after calls reported three individuals trapped in the rubble.
Authorities say that the collapse happened after contractors hired by the property owner attempted to remove the aging single-wide trailer from it’s location.
Two of the victims were sent to Bronson Hospital to be treated for serious injuries, while the third individual declined to seek care for minor injuries sustained in the collapse.
According to deputies at the scene the snow was overburdening the trailers roof and the workers did not use any safety equipment while attempting to move it.
No additional information on the suspects or their current situation has been released.
